Let's answer some career related questions you may already have!

What are you looking for when you hire?

We're looking for relentless people who aren't afraid to ask questions. People who have opinions and strong facts to support their arguments. And also people who have innovative thoughts and can translate these thoughts into a hands-on experience. For full-time product designers, having an understanding of the basic design principles backed with some strong showcase of their past performance is a must.

What will my team structure on a project look like?

You will never work in silos. Depending on the project and work, every project will have a minimum size of at least 3 members: A Sr Product Designer and 2 UX/UI designers. A lead designer or the Creative Director will usually spearhead every project and you will also be working with the creative design team of UX researchers, writers, Illustrators and 2D/3D Motion designers depending on what the project requires.

How soon will I know if a hiring decision has been made?

If you have applied for a job at Pineapple via our Job application form, you will receive an automated e-mail response confirming receipt of your application. Our goal is to keep valued candidates like you informed of your status throughout the recruitment process. However, due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unable to personally respond to each one every time. If you meet the job profile requirements, you will be contacted directly by a recruiter for an interview.

What are the growth opportunities at Pineapple?

Because Pineapple is a lean team, you get mentorship from our design director. We will eventually hand you more responsibilities as you grow such as, working directly with clients and stakeholders, leading projects, and even making critical project decisions.

We conduct internal workshops every Friday. Whether you are a UX/UI designer interested in learning motion or an illustrator with an interest in UX research, we've got you covered. You will learn a great deal outside the boundaries of your everyday work.

What will my role as an intern be like?

Your role as an intern will be just as critical as anyone who is working here full time. Besides mentorship, you will get a lot of exposure to the different verticals within our agency. Everyone from an intern to a lead is valued for their ideas and opinions. If you are working directly under a lead, you will have some room to explore your ideas and vision too. Over time, you will start receiving ownership of the work you do.

What kind of problems does Pineapple work on?

We at Pineapple are recognising the challenges of today and solving for how humans will interact with products tomorrow. From helping farmers in Africa save a million minutes every year to building a habit of preventative healthcare amongst 20 crore individuals, we are working towards solving next-generation problems. This year, we’ve got the chance to contribute to Industries like Edu-tech, Cryptocurrency, Healthcare, Agri-tech and more.
