What you’ll do
You will owner of your work and are majorly responsible for implementing the most accurate designs that resonate with what the product needs to communicate. You will be responsible to design for an app that has over 50m+ downloads. You will be responsible for either co-leading or leading a large project, with a few team members, or be responsible for leading different smaller projects. You will working directly with the client partners and providing them with solutions that are data-driven. You will measure the outcomes of your project through user-testing or after it goes live. You will be working towards the UI Strategy and undertaking the augmentation process for the design created. Your key role will be to ensure simplifying the product designs through UI and taking care to reduce the cognitive load. You will be responsible to drive the team towards creating unique interfaces that align with the brand and its users. Your innovations, suggestions, and opinions will always be valued and encouraged. Your ability to handle multiple tasks and client coordination will be considered your key strength. You will be collaborating with other teams, such as UX, development, and product, to ensure that designs are implemented as intended. You will also be responsible for managing design growth and generating innovative UI design philosophies amongst your team members You will be reporting directly to the VP of Design for all project progress and work. This not only a managerial role - We need someone who can solve problems hands on. If someone from the team is in a fix, you should be open to collaborating on a Figma file, understand their thought process and work with them hands on to solve a problem.
Job requirements
-5+ years of experience with a strong understanding of creating UI designs. -3+ years of experience of managing a UI design team. -The ability to work and manage large scale design systems - Design system management, System organisation, innovation and scaling them. -The ability to be versatile and experiment with different styles of UI Design across different products. -The ability to understand front-end development and communicate with different tech and product stakeholders. -Strong communication and reasoning skills for the designs you create. Data-backed arguments while presenting your work. -Organized, self-directed, and has a very strong ability to manage time and meet deadlines for the project that is undertaken.
